Employee/Labor Relations

A positive relationship with your employees is very important. We work with you and your managers in establishing and maintaining an excellent work environment. We have experience working in both union and non-unionized environments. We believe that if today your organization is not unionized, we can help you maintain a union free environment. If your organization is currently unionized, we can work with you to make certain your contract is being properly administered and that you maintain a good working relationship with your union(s).

Employee Relations Support:

  • Documentation review and editing - We provide independent review of your disciplinary and termination actions, seeking to assure that documentation supports the decision, thus helping to reduce your exposure for unemployment and legal costs.
  • Management coaching - We provide individualized manager support, helping them meet the diverse needs of their workgroup through motivation, feedback and crisis management.
  • Progressive discipline - We help you establish the necessary processes to follow on a progressive basis with the intent of improving employee performance.
  • Termination policies & procedures - We develop necessary processes for employee terminations that protect you from exposure to potentially costly legal action and higher unemployment costs.

Labor Relations Review:

  • We work with you and your managers to determine what the current climate is within your organization relative to potential union organizing.
  • We identify key issues within your organization and make recommendations to help you maintain a union free environment.
